Complaints & Content Removal Policy

Purpose: CouplesNextDoor.com is committed to maintaining a safe and lawful environment. Users may submit complaints regarding content that may be illegal, violates our Terms of Service, or does not comply with 18 U.S.C. § 2257 / 28 C.F.R. Part 75 requirements.

All disputes related to content removal or privacy complaints will be handled in accordance with the mandatory arbitration and class action waiver provisions in the Terms of Service.

1. Reporting Content

You may report content that you believe:

• Depicts individuals under 18

• Violates applicable laws or regulations

• Violates CouplesNextDoor.com Terms of Service

• Infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights

• Contains media depicting animals, dead or alive (prohibited)

• Submit via email: complaints@couplesnextdoor.com

Complaints will be treated confidentially, except as required for legal, enforcement, safety, or law enforcement purposes.

2. Review Timeline

All reported complaints will be:

• Reviewed and investigated within a reasonable timeframe, generally not exceeding seven (7) days.

• A response may be provided to the complainant regarding the outcome or next steps

3. Review & Appeals Process

Investigation

• Review the complaint and supporting evidence

• Verify age, ownership, and consent for the content where applicable

• Confirm compliance with 18 U.S.C. § 2257 / 28 C.F.R. Part 75 and the Custodian of Records as referenced in the Terms of Service and standalone 2257 Statement

Decision

• Content may be removed, restricted, flagged, or left unchanged depending on findings

• If the person depicted did not give valid consent, content involves prohibited material (including media containing animals), or violates law, it will be removed at the discretion of CouplesNextDoor.com

Appeal

• Any person depicted in the content, or their authorized representative, may submit an appeal if they disagree with the decision

• Appeals may be reviewed by a senior compliance officer at CouplesNextDoor.com, and timing is discretionary in accordance with arbitration provisions

• Final decisions may be escalated to a neutral internal compliance reviewer if requested, subject to arbitration alignment

4. Potential Outcomes

Depending on the investigation, outcomes may include:

• Immediate removal or restriction of the reported content

• Warning, suspension, or termination of the content uploader’s account for violations, subject to the limitations of liability outlined in the Terms of Service

• Referral to law enforcement or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) if illegal activity is detected

Notes:

• This policy is incorporated by reference in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

• Compliance with 18 U.S.C. § 2257 / 28 C.F.R. Part 75 is mandatory for all content uploaders.

• All users are expected to cooperate with investigations and appeals processes.

• Terminology in this policy (Site, Content, user-generated content) is consistent with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
